ACTRESS

Early on, around 10, Laura began to direct her brother and her two cousins to re-enact the show "Laugh In" to her Italian relatives and friends. Laura starred in and directed these vignettes and everyone laughed it up! Most importantly, Laura was having a blast! Then came singing which happened naturally after drinking home made red wine at the dinner table with her parents and relatives. Laura's Sicilian grandmother Michela taught Laura Italian songs as well as Laura's father, Anthony. "Granada" is one of the songs she performs and sings with her father, though not an Italian song, it only adds to her creative thirst and variety.
Tony N' Tina's Wedding newspaper article. Laura Sottile was the first Tina in San Francisco to perform in the off-Broadway hit of Tony N Tina's Wedding in 1992.

"Oh the boys!" Romance took Laura for a spin, for quite a while. Some of the poetry that came out of that was published in London and New York. She took a leap of faith at 28, left her modeling work and rock band attempt and she went on her first audition at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco, and she got her first part. Mind you, it was only one line, but, she received a write-up for it! REVIEWS

Laura knew she hit a vein of gold, it was a force! Laura landed many good roles in San Francisco, one which led her to New York City. Two of her favorite productions were when she co-starred with Frank Vincent and Adrienne Brody in "Ten Benny" and became the lead in an off-Broadway show called Tony n' Tina's Wedding. ACTING RESUME

While in NYC, she created a character named "Pepita Cunningham" and Pepita had plenty to say! Laura created and performed 4 comedy satires with Pepita on several SF stages. There have been quite a few added characters since then, such as: Ms. Bermuda, Sally Trigger, Eve, and others which she performed at the Marsh Theatre in San Francisco.
